I didn't start Kenley's baby book until after she was born - which I regret. BUT, thanks to this here blog I had my entire pregnancy and her whole first year documented. Thank goodness because without it I don't think I'd remember a dang thing.I looked at A LOT of different baby books, none of which really got me excited so I decided to create my own using Shutterfly. Shutterfly offers a ton of different photobook layouts and designs but also allows you to customize it - which is what I did. I am pretty obsessed with how it turned out and Kenley loves it too!
Here are a few of our favorite pages...
I LOVE how you did your baby book! I am dying to start a baby book for my babe, but am not a fan of the premanufactured books out there! I am contemplating a shutterfly book like you and after seeing your's come out, you have my officially convinced! :) Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteeeeek! i LOVE IT!!! it reminds me that i still need to print out lex's baby book (oops).
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with the book! I especially love the page about how you chose her name. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! One of these days I'll get to that...haha.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! One of these days I'll get to that...haha.
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible. What a wonderful keepsake to have.
ReplyDeleteThat book is seriously PERFECT! Photobooks take SO much time in general, I can imagine a baby book would take even more though because you'd just want to include everything!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBEST baby book ever. Can you make me one? What did you use?!
ReplyDeleteUmmm I have used Shutterfly and mine turn out nothing like that? It's beautiful!! Any tips? I get so frustrated with it.
ReplyDeleteWow, it turned out so beautiful! Love the style you used...photo books are so amazing and time consuming. I'm so behind on mine!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The book looks great! I just finished Caleb's book. And now, looking at Kenley's, I'm kicking myself for not thinking to include some of the things you put in hers. Ugh! Oh well. I did mine on Shutterfly too and loved all the customization options. I may go back and do a pregnancy one with all the bumpdates from the blog. And I'm thinking about doing a 'family yearbook' like Carolyn did - maybe that way, I can get a few more photos/mementos in there!:)
ReplyDeleteExcellent blogs! That baby girl of you & J, isn't she so precious & smart! Also sooo beautiful to do the Kenley book, wish we had that tech stuff back when but I do have memories and notes. Sooo proud of you with your busy schedule to do this stuff. AND very proud of my son J for his support! LOVE YOU ALL!! Bailey too!
ReplyDeleteSeeing Kenley look over her baby book is beyond cute! That little Mou is a very lucky girl.

ReplyDeleteOh my GOSH! That book is beauuuuutiful! I still haven't even started putting one together for Mia because I know it's gonna take foreverrrrr. But it will be so worth it. Especially if mine turns out half as cute as yours!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that Shutterfly's would turn out SO GOOD! Definitely going to look at using them!
Oh my gosh this is incredible!! I have an actual baby book I write in but I like this so much better, will have to do for future babies!

ReplyDeleteAwww, what a beautiful book!! You will never regret the time spent making it for her. What a treasure~
ReplyDeleteHow cute mamma! I love this little book :) You did a great job on it! I cannot wait to have little ones of my own so that I can do this for them :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome!! I've been making them for my son, but only doing 3 months per book lol I have way too many pictures. But what an awesome idea to do the pregnancy pictures! I took one every week but haven't printed them!
ReplyDeleteLove this so much! I need to do the same for Cruz, but damn it will take a long time! But oh so worth it!
ReplyDeleteI never ever thought about this. I tried and failed to be like YHL (a lofty aspiration that never works out) and homemake my own baby book for my daughter. For my son, I'll do this instead this summer! Was it a template or did you have to use the custom path and create it yourself? If so, you should definitely see if they'll buy your design so the rest of us can use it:) they have those designer templates in custom path. Love the pics of her looking at it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! Better late than never! I'm currently in the process of creating a Shutterfly book for our wedding and all the events leading up to it (three years later haha whoops)!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so good!!! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteI just love this its so cute!! I am hoping to get working on one for Ellie - now I am concerned that its going to take a long time....oh well labor of love right!

ReplyDeleteI want to do this so bad for Turner but thinking about the time makes me cringe!!! Thank gosh my blog has it all so that when I finally get around to it...it's all right there! Good job...so adorable.
ReplyDeleteLove your baby book!!! My daughter is turning 2 this week and although I did do a traditional handwritten baby book I have not started on ANY photo books! About how long did it take you to make this book?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely, positively LOVE the book you made! The book I have for my daughter is maybe 75% finished...I should probably try to finish it before her 2nd birthday :)
ReplyDeleteQuick question: what style did you use on shutterfly for your book?
