My Belly {18 weeks}

Nugget this week...
...is now hiccuping, sucking, yawning and swallowing.
...is also kicking and punching.

Size of the baby?
About 5.5 inches long and almost 7 ounces!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
I've gained 9 pounds so far. It's amazing, after just one week of regular exercise and eating a variety of foods opposed to only carbs I have actually lost a pound and am back in the healthy weight gain zone! Whoop!

Maternity Clothes?
Still just the maternity swimsuit and maternity jeans. I am LIVING in cotton dresses. So comfortable!

Stretch marks?
Haven't seen one yet.

Best Moments?
Setting up the crib! It's so strange having a crib in the guest room nursery now!

Movement?
I haven't been feeling a ton of movement, but every now and then there is an unmistakable fluttering feeling, which is insane!

Food Cravings?
Not really craving anything in particular.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
No meat and no fresh veggies...still! :(

What I miss?
Eating like a normal human being. I would love so much to eat a giant cheeseburger with a huge side of steamed broccoli.

What I'm looking forward to?
Finding out the gender! Only 18 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nausea/Vomiting?
I have been beyond blessed to not experience any of this ickyness.

Symptoms?
My back is still really sore, especially at night. Beyond that I am feeling pretty awesome right now. I'm excited to finally see a little bump popping out too!

Labor signs?
Again, I refuse to discuss labor at this point. I'm still under the impression that a stork will be making a delivery.

Gender?
I'm stilling thinking boy and Jason is still thinking girl.

Belly Button In or Out?
Still and innie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
Rings are still on! Only 22 more weeks until I hit my goal of wearing them the whole time!

Sleep?
Still sleeping pretty good. Moving around a lot to get comfortable and frequent bathroom breaks, but once I'm out...I am OUT.

Wisdom?
Meal plan! You all know I've been struggling the past few weeks. The only foods that sounded appealing were the foods that cause the most weight gain. Not to mention I was not getting the nutrients me or the baby needs. I spent some time doing some research on recommended nutrient intake, etc. and created a plan for myself using the foods that do sound appealing. Now I am getting all the nutrients I need and eating a variety of foods without forcing myself to gag down stuff that really doesn't sound good. As I mentioned above, it's working!
And I feel MUCH better!

June Checklist

Happy June everyone!!!
I think June might be my favorite month of the year.

First off, let's check back to those May goals and see how I did, shall we?

*Organize photos.
I finally got all of my photos organized, uploaded to shutterfly and posted to facebook. Now if I can just keep up on it my computer won't be overloaded with pictures.

*Redo Master Bedroom.
I still have some work to do but I got it painted  and got new sheets which were the main concerns. I have a couple of art pieces I'm waiting on and a couple of other things I want to buy before I show it off...but it's looking WAY better.

*Buy a crib!
EEEEEK!
Our crib arrived this past weekend and I am SO excited! My grandma so very sweetly offered to buy the crib for us! Can you believe how generous and thoughtful and AWESOME that is?

*Read a non-pregnancy related book.
I jumped on the bandwagon and read the Fifty Shades books....which I loved and hated.

More about that coming in a later post.

Holy crap! All my goals are GREEN! That's never happened before! :)

Next up, time for some goals for June:

-Work on my fitness!
I really want to work harder to stay in some sort of shape during my pregnancy. Apparently it helps pregnancy go more smoothly, helps with labor and most important helps with post-baby weight loss. I want to keep up my walking, start to swim and do some toning workouts at the gym. My BFF is a trainer and set up a good preggo friendly weight routine for me to do throughout my pregnancy.
So, this month I want to:
-Walk at least 45 miles.
-Swim/Workout in the pool 5 times.
-Go to the gym for toning 8 times.

-Meal Plan, sort of.

My crazy pregnancy aversions have been making it really hard to eat healthy. So I spent a night doing research and planning some meals that sound appealing and will give me the variety of nutrients me and the baby need. I'm not going to bore you with all the details but my goal is to stick to eating the planned foods and meals and also tracking everything in myfitnesspal so I can make sure I'm getting all the vitamins and nutrients that I need.

-Put together yearbooks.
I am totally copying my Beeb on this one. She had this great idea to put together Family Yearbooks every year with pictures from that year's events. Seeing that I am obsessed with taking pictures, this is a perfect way for me to actually use them. I want to get caught up and put together all of the previous year's yearbooks and get started on 2012's.

-Budget, Budget, Budget.
I have this kickass budget spreadsheet that I made that has helped a TON with budgeting each month, but last month was terrible in terms of spending! We were over budget in pretty much every category. So this month my goal is to be UNDER budget in every category.
Wish me luck. This is going to be a tough one!

What are you wanting to get accomplished this month?

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday morning everyone!
Raise your hand if you'd rather still be at home snuggled in bed with your puggle?

This weekend went WAY too fast, but it was a great one. It was a very low key weekend which was wonderful.

Friday night we met up with my friend Christina and her fiance Aaron to see Snow White and the Huntsman.
We loved it! I am not a K-Stew fan at all but you can't deny that she plays a tormented damsel in distress pretty well. But the star of the movie is without a doubt Charlize. HOLY SMOKES! She is so bad ass and scary and shockingly beautiful. I'd definitely recommend seeing it.
BEWARE: if you're afraid of birds like I am, bring a cute boy to gran on to.

Saturday we spent the day lounging by the pool, which was glorious as always.

Then that evening we brought Bailey to meet up with my mom and step-dad and their dog Koli for "Yappy Hour" at the Country Club.
It was really cute. They had a big area set up for members to bring their dogs, they had homemade treats for the pups and drinks and "yappetizers" for the humans. Bailey was surprisingly well behaved and we all had a great time.

After Yappy Hour we went to Jason's cousin's graduation party. It's always a blast when Jason's family gets together---his dad's side of the family is huge and everyone is hilarious! Plus, my dad has been friends with their family since he was in 6th grade so he was at the party too. Whenever you get my dad and Jason's dad together the old high school stories start flowing and it is HILARIOUS.
Such a fun night! And how cute are Jason's grandparents?!?!

Sunday was a super low-key and productive day. We slept in, walked around Lake Calhoun,
went grocery shopping, set up our crib (!!!) and watched the Celtics (barely) beat the Heat.

Nothing super exciting, but it was a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

What did you do?
