Friday's Letters

Linking up with the lovely Ashley for
Photobucket

Dear Nashville,
just one work day stands between me and you. Can't wait! See you tonight.

Dear Justin Bieber,
would you kindly consider changing your tour dates so you are in Minneapolis ANY other day besides my brother's wedding day?

Dear mama-in-law Judye,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Dear Irrational Fear of Flying,
Could you, like, go away. I don't know why you started recently but it's super annoying.

Dear Tazo,
Thank you so much for making a decaf chai and for pricing it for significantly less than Starbucks charges me.

Dear Boobs,
Please stop growing...this is getting ridiculous.

Dear JJ & Baysie,
I'm going to miss you two this weekend and please let the house be in the same condition as when I leave it. PLEASE.

I hope everyone has a marvelous weekend!

My Belly {20 weeks}

Cue Bon Jovi....
"Whooah, we're halfway there..."
I cannot frickin' believe that I am halfway done and am now 5 months pregnant!
Where is the time going?!

Nugget this week...
...has taste buds!
...is gulping down several ounces of amniotic fluid each day.

Size of the baby?
About 6 1/2 inches long and over 10 ounces!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
I'm up a total of 12 pounds, still right on track.

Maternity Clothes?
I'm starting to have to bite the bullet and expand my maternity collection. My most recent purchase was this dress for my convention in Nashville this weekend.

Stretch marks?
Haven't seen one yet.

Best Moments?
Registering! It got me SO excited and made everything seem more real.

Movement?
I'm feeling baby move more and more, but it's most noticeable when I'm laying down to go to bed. This baby might just be a night owl like his/her mama.

Food Cravings?
Not really anything this week. I had some bad mango earlier this week which put a quick stop to that craving.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Still not doing veggies or meat.

What I miss?
I miss Advil. Tylenol isn't doing a whole lot for these aches and pains.

What I'm looking forward to?
Finding out the gender!!! Cannot take it any longer.

Nausea/Vomiting?
Nope.

Symptoms?
Holy heartburn! Tums have become my new best friend.

Labor signs?
We are still not discussing the "L" word.

Gender?
Still. Don't. Know.

Belly Button In or Out?
Innie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
Still on baby!

Sleep?
I'm having a harder and harder time getting comfortable, but still sleeping pretty well.

Wisdom?
Register for it all. Babies need a lot of stuff, and whether you're having one baby shower or ten, register for everything you might need or want. You obviously won't get it all as gifts, but you will get 10% off everything you don't get {thank you completion discount}. And, the people kind enough to buy a gift will have plenty of options! Plus, a registry is a nice way to keep track of everything you need for baby so you don't forget anything important...think of it as your shopping list!

I've Got a Fever...

...and NO the cure, for once, is not more cowbell.

IT'S MORE BIEBER BABY!

Today is the BIG day! Believe came out! And if you think I haven't already purchased it and listened to it 5 times, well then, you don't know me at all!
I catch a lot of flack for being a 27-year-old Bieber fantatic (mostly from my husband and brother) but here's the deal...it's not like I want to date him! I'm nearly 10 years older than him for crying out loud!
I just have mad respect for him...he's grown up before our eyes and has embraced this CRAZY celebrity (knock on wood he can keep it ip).
PLUS, he's hilarious!
Seriously. The kid cracks me up!

And I'm sorry, no matter how big of a hater you are...you cannot deny the kid is talented. Not to mention Boyfriend is the greatest song of all time (OK, not quite, but it's bomb):

Our Weekend.

Friday after work Jason and I hit up Caribou Coffee to get a little boost in preparation for baby registering.
Turns out...it was awesome! Jason might have other words to describe it, but I was really proud and impressed with how patient he was AND how many opinions he had.
Dad-to-be trying to figure out the darn car seat
I've got to thank you guys for all your help on Friday. All the words of wisdom made the whole experience so much easier and way less overwhelming. I would highly recommend doing some pre-registering research. A lot of the things I had figured out beforehand so we could just quickly add them, then we were able to wisely spend out time looking more closely at those bigger and more important items. We also figured out way more than I had anticipated. All we really have left are little things here and there that we want to pick based on the gender.
After several hours surrounded by baby gear we were in desperate need of some food. So, Chipotle is was.
Pretty sure I could eat a Burrito Bol every day.

Saturday was the absolute perfect blend of being super lazy and incredibly productive. It was a cloudy day and with all the blinds closed our room stayed so dark. Bailey and I slept until almost 11am, and I probably could have stayed in bed the entire day.

Once I was up, I took Bailey for a nice long walk, did some laundry, hit up Target, Best Buy and Home Depot, took a nap, did some cleaning, watched a movie and got the baby's closet all set up.

Sunday, Bailey and I were up early to surprise Jason with some waffles in celebration of his first Father's Day. The boy LOVES waffles.
"Mom, may I please have a waffle?"
Bailey also surprised her dad with a basket full of all his favorite stuff.
After breakfast, Jason was off to play golf with his dad, so I spent my day walking Bailey, reading at the pool and swimming some laps.
Then I took my little sister for a Starbucks/pedicure date as a late b-day present.

Sunday night was spent with family at my dad's house celebrating Father's Day and Kara's birthday.

It was another great weekend, now here's to hoping this week goes by quick because I'm headed to NASHVILLE on Friday! So pumped!
