My Belly {39 weeks}

Nugget this week...
*is probably able to flex her limbs
*is getting smarter and smarter with a rapidly developing brain
*may have fingernails that extend past her fingertips

Size of the baby?
Based off the last ultrasound I am guessing she is right around 7 pounds.

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
31.8 pounds.

Maternity Clothes?
Heck no! I hate them.

Stretch marks?
Not-a-one.

Best Moments?
My sister-in-law booking her ticket! She lives in Florida and will be home November 7-12th to meet her niece!  For some reason this made everything seem more real.

Movement?
She's not nearly as active as the poor thing has no space left (reason #283287429 you should come out little one!) but I can still feel her regularly, which I LOVE!

Food Cravings?
Nothing really this week.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Chicken. Barf.

What I miss?
Being comfortable when I sleep!

Nausea/Vomiting?
Thankfully, no.

Symptoms?
Cramping. Unfortunately not contraction cramping, it feels more like light period cramps on and off. My doctor said that's all just part of the preparation.

Labor signs?
Baby girl has dropped lower but as of my appointment on Tuesday I am still only 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced.

Gender?
BABY GIRL

Belly Button In or Out?
It's still schizophrenic, sometimes it's in and sometimes it's out.

Wedding rings On or Off?
I still have all of my rings on! It makes me so happy!

Sleep?
I am so darn tired but having the hardest time sleeping at night, just can't get comfy.

What I'm looking forward to?
Meeting my baby & our anniversary!

My Belly {38 weeks}

Another spot on {and hilarious} pregnancy report from AlphaMom that I just had to share:

Your Baby:
  • Is officially a little chunkin, at well over six pounds and 19 1/2 inches long.
  • Is also officially considered “full term.” In other words, he or she is STRAIGHT UP FREELOADING from here on out.
  • Is practicing making fists and fetal breathing in anticipation of life outside the womb.
You:
  • Have probably had enough of this magical special time, thank you very much.
  • Backaches, joint aches, heartburn, indigestion, constipation, Braxton-Hicks contractions, painful kicks, bladder pressure, stretch marks, itchy skin, swollen ankles, fatigue, dry mouth, mood swings, did I miss anything else in this cavalcade of late-pregnancy hilarity?
  • Are alternating between crazy excitement about finally meeting your baby and crazy panic about oh my God, you’re finally going to meet your baby and they’re going to expect that you take it home and like, keep it alive and stuff.
Too funny, right?
Now for my update:
Nugget this week...
*may have an inch of hair
*is shedding her vernix caseosa (aka cheesy white goo)

Size of the baby?
taking her last weight measurement and adding an ounce a day (which is what she should be gaining every day) she would weigh 6 pounds 10 ounces right now.

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
32 pounds...womp womp.

Maternity Clothes?
I have one pair of preggo jeans, a maternity dress, two maternity tops and three maternity tanks...other than that it's all NON-maternity because you all know my extreme hatred for maternity clothes.

Stretch marks?
38 weeks and not one stretch mark! Holler if you hear me!

Best Moments?
My brother's wedding! It was so fun being surrounded by family!

Movement?
I am feeling A LOT more movement down low...little flutters, which I think are probably her hands? I'm hoping that the down low action means she's pushing her way down.

Food Cravings?
Not really any cravings. Still lovin' my sweets!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Meat. blah!

What I miss?
Not being pregnant! I am so ready for this little one to get the heck out!

Nausea/Vomiting?
Thankfully NO!

Symptoms?
Heartburn, Leg Cramps, Sore Back, Big Belly, Pregnancy Boredom, Shortness of Breath...the list goes on and on.

Labor signs?
As of my doctor's appointment on Monday I am 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated and baby girl has dropped a bit...so while it's not a ton, we are making progress people!

Gender?
BABY GIRL

Belly Button In or Out?
I think its officially classified as an outie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
The rings are still on!

Sleep?
What sleep? My sleepless nights are currently sponsored by bathroom breaks (at least 3 a night), leg cramps and heartburn.

What I'm looking forward to?
Meeting our baby girl!!!!!

My Belly {37 weeks}

Nugget this week...
*is full term!
*is practicing inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping & blinking
*is getting ready for that first (meconium) poop

Size of the baby?
If baby is growing an ounce a day like she's supposed to she should be 6 pounds 3 ounces right now.

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
29.6 pounds....I think my hopes of staying under 30 are long gone.

Maternity Clothes?
3 weeks to go and still wearing only one pair of maternity jeans. I made it through the summer in cotton dresses and now that the weather is cool and I'm so close to being NOT-pregnant I just cannot bring myself to spend money on maternity clothes.

Stretch marks?
Happy to report NO!

Best Moments?
Finishing the nursery and completing the baby to-do list!

Movement?
Still getting a butt in my ribs and a foot in my side but her movement has slowed down a lot, I can tell she's running out of wiggle room in there.

Food Cravings?
No real cravings, in fact I have no appetite at all

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Still not loving meat.

What I miss?
I miss being comfortable.

Nausea/Vomiting?
I threw up quite a bit thanks to the damn flu but am feeling much better now.

Symptoms?
Heartburn, Heartburn, Heartburn! YUCK!

Labor signs?
I had my weekly appointment on Monday afternoon and was still only 1/2 cm dilated, which I'm OK with because unless something really crazy happens I should be able to make it through my brother's wedding without going in to labor.

Gender?
BABY GIRL

Belly Button In or Out?
It's popped, but still isn't a crazy outie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
Rings are still on! Holler!

Sleep?
I think my nights of hard sleep are forever gone. I am having the worst time getting comfortable and rolling over is the biggest production. so. darn. tired.

What I'm looking forward to?
My brother's wedding this weekend!

My Belly {36 weeks}

Thank you to everyone for your sweet texts and e-mails about Monday's doctor's appointment...you were all right...there was no need to worry, everything went great! My iron levels are back up to normal thanks to the supplements and Nugget looked great on the ultrasound. The blood flow from the umbilical cord to the baby is perfect, there is the right amount of amniotic fluid, the placenta looks good and aside from being a little on the skinny side (and not cooperating for a good photo) Nugget is doing great.
Can you tell I'm starting to get really tired?

Nugget this week...
*is practicing swallowing and breathing
*may be able to breath without any extra help if she were born now
*is shedding the lanugo hair that's been keeping her warm

Size of the baby?
Her length is anybody's guess but as of our ultrasound on Monday baby girl is weighing in at 5 pounds 9 ounces, which puts her in the 47th percentile. As my doctor said, "she is tall and skinny."

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
28 pounds.

Maternity Clothes?
just my one pair of jeans.

Stretch marks?
Still going strong with NO stretchmarks!

Best Moments?
This week has been incredible...my mom & step-sister hosted a baby shower on Sunday, I had my ultrasound and got to see my healthy baby girl on Monday, my sister-in-law keeps sending adorable and wonderful gifts from Florida and last night my mother-in-law and sister-in-law hosted a baby shower (more on that tomorrow)!

Movement?
I'm still getting kicked in the side and booty popped in the ribs quite frequently.

Food Cravings?
I was DYING for a cheeseburger Monday night, which was super strange after not eating meat for almost 8 months. I got a cheeseburger and it was AMAZING, I devoured it! Now, a cheeseburger sounds absolutely disgusting. SO weird.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Meat.

What I miss?
Being able to shave my legs without sitting on the floor of the shower.

Nausea/Vomiting?
I've been a little nauseous the past couple days, but no vomiting.

Symptoms?
Typical end of pregnancy stuff....nesting, sore back, big belly.

Labor signs?
Also as of Monday, I am 1/2 a centimeter dilated  which essentially means nothing except that I am closer to labor than not, which we already knew. :)

Gender?
BABY GIRL

Belly Button In or Out?
Still a halfie, but I can make it pop all the way out, which is my new party trick.

Wedding rings On or Off?
These suckers are still on!

Sleep?
Comfort is becoming more and more of an issue which is making sleep tough. I think it's time I just get used to being tired.

What I'm looking forward to?
Finishing the nursery this weekend!!!

And just for funsies, let's take a look back at 20 weeks ago and 10 weeks ago!

My Belly {35 weeks}

Thank you so much for all your sweet comments and e-mails in regards to last week's post. It was definitely a discouraging appointment, but I am feeling much better! I am still tired and OVER being pregnant, but I feel significantly better than I was. So thanks for the kind words and prayers.
Nugget this week...
*her kidneys are fully developed
*her liver can process waste
*most of her basic physical development is done...so she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight!

Size of the baby?
somewheres around 18 inches long and 5 1/4 pounds!
Woah!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
I'm up an even 27 pounds...which according to this preggo weight gain calculator is right on track.

Maternity Clothes?
I still refuse. I will admit that my one pair of maternity jeans are my most comfortable pants, but I can still squeeze my booty in my regular jeans with the help of a rubberband....so why spend money on more weirdo pants that I will wear for one month and than throw in the fire?
Tangent over.

Stretch marks?
I have yet to see one. WHOOP-DI-WHOOP-WHOOP!

Best Moments?
Packing for the hospital! I know I still have 5 weeks to go and hopefully Nugget will cook for as long as possible, but this was one of those things that was just nagging me! I felt so unprepared and anxious about not being ready...just.in.case.
We also got a super sweet {and awesome} package from Nugget's auntie/god-mama, Nicole.
Can you even handle that tutu?!?!?!?!
So many cute things, not to mention the shit ton of onesies that everyone says to stock up on!
Thanks Cole!

Movement?
Nugget's newest move is a teeny lil foot in my side, the jabbing causes a shooting pain in my side which is really lovely. BUT, as painful and annoying as it can be, I will never get sick of feeling my baby move.

Food Cravings?
Sweets & Fruit still.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Meat! Still rockin' the vegetarian lifestyle.

What I miss?
Meat. Actually, I don't really miss meat but I do miss eating like a regular person. Finding meals is such a pain in the butt.

Nausea/Vomiting?
Nope. I'm done with the UTI medication which was making me SO nauseous, but I'm feeling much better now.

Symptoms?
BIG. OL. BELLY.

Labor signs?
Nope, not yet.

Gender?
BABY GIRL

Belly Button In or Out?
My belly button is currently a "halfie" the top half is starting to pop and the bottom half is still normal....it looks super weird and I would never under any circumstances make anyone {except for Jason} look at it. Lucky Jason.

Wedding rings On or Off?
Rings are still on. They get tight after I go for a walk or if I get too hot, but not to the point where I need to take them off.

Sleep?
I was rockin' the sleep, but now it's getting harder. Getting comfortable is nearly impossible, my mind is on overdrive and if I drink even a DRIP of water, I have to use the facilities. Poor Jason has to be ready to boot me to the guest room.

What I'm looking forward to?
My baby shower with my side of the family this weekend, my ultrasound and doctor's appointment on Monday and my baby shower with Jason's side of the family next Wednesday!!!

My Belly {34 weeks}

It's been a really tough week for me. Throughout my pregnancy I've been trying really hard to stay positive and be thankful that I have had it pretty easy. Whether you have an easy pregnancy or not there are ALWAYS things you can find to complain about, and I've tried my hardest to be grateful and happy and keep the gripes to myself {and my husband}. But this week it got hard. I had my routine doctor's appointment on Monday morning, which I always look forward to because I LOVE my doctor and I LOVE hearing how great me and the baby are doing. This week, however, I got nothing but discouraging news.

First, they did a routine blood test and it turns out I'm anemic. They're not worried about the baby because I am taking my prenatal vitamins every day and that provides the baby with all the iron she needs, there's just nothing left for me. The good news is that this can be fixed with an iron supplement that my doctor prescribed and could also be an explanation as to why I have been so painfully tired and have had a hard time breathing.

Next they discovered that I have a urinary tract infection, which at this point isn't super alarming because it's pretty normal during pregnancy and can be cured with medication. What's not great, however, is if the infection has anything to do with my kidneys because this can cause preterm labor.

Finally, my doctor was concerned about me losing weight. I didn't think too much of it because I have been trying hard to keep track of what I'm eating so that I'm making sure to eat enough as well as not overeat. So, I figured the weight loss was due to my body evening out (because I most certainly was not keeping track before). Nonetheless, I should be gaining at least a pound a week and I am losing weight. Then she measured me and my uterus is measuring small. You are suppose to measure to approximately the number of weeks you are at, so I should have been somewhere around 33-34 centimeters but only measured at 31. So, my doctor wants  me to come in for an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing properly.

I lost it.
I got so nervous and angry and scared. I've had a perfect report card up until this point and hearing three negative things in one appointment pushed me over the edge. Thankfully, none of these things are super serious BUT I do have to wait two weeks (well, 11 days now) for my ultrasound...which means I'll be worrying nonstop until then. Jason brought up a great point, though, if it was something serious they wouldn't want to wait to do the ultrasound, so I try to keep telling myself that.

Again, I am so grateful and thank God every day for keeping me healthy throughout this pregnancy and I know deep down that everything is going to be OK but I'm just having a hard time not worrying...plus the fatigue and hormones certainly don't help.

Anyways, on to more fun stuff...
Nugget this week...
*is recognizing and reacting to certain songs! (baby girl is already a Sade fan)
*is urinating a pint a day!
*if born now may only need a short stay in the hospital! Babies born between 34-37 weeks generally only have some short-term health issues but do just as well as full-term babies. WHOOP!

Size of the baby?
Hard to say because I am measuring small...but on average she's probably about 4.75 pounds and measuring almost 18 inches long.

Total Weight Gain/Loss?

Maternity Clothes?
I'm in maternity jeans & tank tops but everything else is just a bigger non-preggo size.

Stretch marks?
Still nothing...wahooo!

Best Moments?
Standing up as a bridesmaid at my friend Christina's wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding and special day and I am so honored to have been a part of it (Nugget too).

Movement?
Little lady is still active, but now instead of kicks and flutters I'm getting full on body rolls. Sometimes it feel like I'm going down a big drop on a roller coaster.

Food Cravings?
Fruit. I can't get enough fruit, particularly red grapes.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
It's either the iron supplement or the medication for the infection, or maybe the combo of the two but I have been super nauseous the past couple of days.

What I miss?
I miss not being pregnant. There's a lot of really amazing things about having this baby inside of me, but I am really ready to return to my pre-pregnancy body.

Nausea/Vomiting?
Just these pills.

Symptoms?
Major fatigue & shortness of breath.

Labor signs?
No labor signs, but baby is still head down!

Gender?
BABY GIRL.

Belly Button In or Out?
Still rockin' the innie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
All my rings are still on and aren't showing signs of coming off {yet}

Sleep?
Sleeping great...it's ALL I want to do!

What I'm looking forward to?
I am looking forward to my ultrasound on the 8th...I want to see that baby girl and get some peace of mind that she is doing just fine.

My Belly {33 weeks}

Nugget this week...
*is keeping her eyes open when she's awake
*is starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing
*her bones are hardening

Size of the baby?
Over 4 pounds and 17 inches long!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
24.6 pounds, which means I lost 2 pounds this week, which is weird.

Maternity Clothes?
The weather is changing in Minnie and I don't think my cotton maxi dresses are going to cut it anymore. SO, I have to bite the bullet and buy some fall friendly maternity clothes.

Stretch marks?
Nope!

Best Moments?
Getting our maternity pictures back & going to a breastfeeding class with my Beeb.

Movement?
Oh yes, still an active little girl. Now that she's bigger it feels more like rolling than it does fluttering and her booty still loves my ribs.

Food Cravings?
Grapes! I can't get enough red grapes.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Just meat...which I avoid, so NOPE!

What I miss?
Sleeping on my tummy.

Nausea/Vomiting?
Thankfully, no.

Symptoms?
Sore back & terrible allergies, but other than that I'm feeling pretty good.

Labor signs?
I keep getting period-ish feeling cramps that sort of come and go, not sure if that qualifies as Braxton Hicks or not...

Gender?
BABY GIRL.

Belly Button In or Out?
It still in, but Jason is sure it's going to pop out any time now.

Wedding rings On or Off?
The bad boys are still ON! I get some swelling when I walk but other than that my rings fit just as they did before.

Sleep?
Other than one terrible night that I was up battling my allergies I have been sleeping great.

What I'm looking forward to?
My girlfriend Christina's wedding this weekend and seeing my doctor on Monday!

My Belly {32 weeks}

You'll have to excuse the photo--I'm not wearing a lick of make up because I cried it all off watching this guy on the X Factor...
I have seriously never laughed so hard. I watched it 4 times and made Jason come upstairs and watch him. Even watching it again this morning I am near tears. SO.DAMN.FUNNY.

Anyways, back to business.
Nugget this week...
*is gaining roughly half a pound a week
*has toenails, fingernails and hair!
*her skin is becoming soft & smooth as she plumps up

Size of the baby?
Baby girl is somewhere around 16 inches long and weighs almost 4 pounds!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
26 pounds.

Maternity Clothes?
Still a mix...but stuff is starting to really get small.

Stretch marks?
Not a one.

Best Moments?
I was back at my sorority this week helping out with recruitment and it was so fun to catch up with old friends. It literally felt JUST like old times, and it made me SO excited and happy that I am having a little girl.

Movement?
Oh yes, baby girl loves shoving her little butt up into mom's ribs. Plus there's all the normal flutters & kicks.

Food Cravings?
Still on a sweets kick

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Still can't do meat...well, except pepperoni, for some reason that doesn't gross me out.

What I miss?
I miss my clothes fitting normal. Getting dressed is such a chore these days. I think pregnant ladies should have a free pass from society to wear sweatpants and t-shirts for 9 months.

Nausea/Vomiting?
Nope!

Symptoms?
Super sore back, some light cramping, shortness of breath, fatigue!

Labor signs?
I had some unpleasant symptoms that lead my doctor to believe there could be a chance of preterm labor beginning. Luckily, I was in to see her and she was able to do a cervical check and everything is still 100% closed up--thank goodness!  AND, as of right now baby is head down! Wahoo! Now hopefully she stays that way.

Gender?
BABY GIRL.

Belly Button In or Out?
Still IN.

Wedding rings On or Off?
STILL ON and no signs of coming off, yet.

Sleep?
I've been sleeping a lot better lately and it's taking me less time to fall asleep which is great....I attribute that to being so damn tired all the time.

What I'm looking forward to?

My Belly {31 weeks}

{Once again totally blanked on the photo...whoops!}
that's the best I got. sorry!

This week has been a little tough, I've been sick the past few days and have literally had NO energy. I don't know if I'm just wiped out from my trip, if it's part of the brutal cold I caught or if this is what the end of pregnancy feels like. Nonetheless, I am starting to feel a little better and am hoping my energy returns SOON, though I'm not holding my breath.

I follow a fun mama blog called Alpha Mom, and she does hilarious week-by-week pregnancy blurbs and I thought this week's was incredibly fitting for me:

Your Baby:
  • Enjoys yawning, sucking his or her thumb, kicking mom in the diaphragm.
  • Turn-offs include: getting the hiccups, really loud noises and you trying to do all that boring “sleeping” at night.
You:
  • Can totally round down your answer to “two months” when people ask you how much longer you have to go. DO NOT focus on the crazy week-to-month-ratio math at this point in pregnancy, particularly when there are breakable, smashy objects within reach.
  • May be weirdly and inexplicably congested all the time. I, for one, appear to be allergic to my pillow. This is also prime time for pregnancy colds, as the toll on your body and immune system is getting higher by the week. Take it easy, slow down, take your vitamins and try try try to get enough sleep.
  • Can now play everybody’s favorite game, Guess The Body Part That’s Sticking Out Next To My Belly Button! Elbow or heel? Head or butt? Did I seriously just maybe feel my baby’s BIG TOE?
Nugget this week...
*is going through major brain development
*her irises now react to light
*all five senses are in working order

Size of the baby?
Somewhere around 16 inches long and around THREE pounds! Holy Smokes!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
I've gained 23.6 pounds and I'm already looking forward to working this off after bambino arrives!

Maternity Clothes?
Still a mix...I have a pair of preggo jeans, a couple preggo dresses and tanks but other than that it's all non-preg stuff.

Stretch marks?
Still stretch mark free.

Best Moments?
My brother got to feel the baby move for the first time. She was squirming like crazy so I put his hand on my belly and then she kicked or head-butted or booty-dropped like none other! The look on my brother's face was priceless. Nugget loves her Uncle Pie.

Movement?
My oh my! YES!

Food Cravings?
Sweets!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
STILL not eating meat.

What I miss?
Sleeping on my stomach.

Nausea/Vomiting?
Nope.

Symptoms?
Back pain. Fatigue. Shortness of breath. Giant belly. Getting kicked in all sorts of uncomfortable places. Squished bladder.

Labor signs?
Nope! Keep cookin' lil one!

Gender?
BABY GIRL.

Belly Button In or Out?
Still an innie despite being super stretched out and shallow.

Wedding rings On or Off?
These bad boys are still on! My fingers get swollen when I go on walks...otherwise I'm not having any issues keeping them on.

Sleep?
Pretty much the same, it takes me a bit to get comfortable but then I'm dead to the world.

What I'm looking forward to?
Meeting with a potential pediatrician next week and going to my breastfeeding class with Beeb.

My Belly {30 weeks}

THIRTY WEEKS!
As in...this baby has been growing inside of me for THIRTY WEEKS.
Like....the baby is due in TEN WEEKS!
What. The. Heck?
totally dropped the ball on the chalkboard pic and was forced to take this last minute bathroom selfie after 5 hours of sleep....please don't judge me.

Nugget this week...
*her skin is getting smoother
*her brain is getting wrinklier--to make room for brain tissue
*she is strong enough to grasp a finger!

Size of the baby?
Right around 15.5 inches long and almost 3 pounds!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
23 whole pounds.

Maternity Clothes?
I bought a couple of maternity tank tops and a maternity maxi dress from Old Navy this week....but I'm still trying to stay away, even with the belly maternity stuff is not fitting me right.

Stretch marks?
Still nothing!

Best Moments?
Finally settling on a nursery game plan! I have been between a ton of different ideas and my mind is finally made up! Now, I just need all of the decor and bedding to arrive so that I can get to work!

Movement?
Still dominating her "Kick Counts" averaging about ____ minutes to feel 10 kicks/punches/head butts/etc.
I can also now feel her hiccups...which might be my favorite thing of all time. The first time I felt it Jason goes "There's a person in there, and she has the hiccups." Totally surreal, but totally incredible.

Food Cravings?
CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nope!

What I miss?
I miss my smaller chest and smaller tummy...this extra weight is just crushing my back...and I'm over the pain.

Nausea/Vomiting?
Nope, none of that nonsense.

Symptoms?
This week my allergies have been BRUTAL but a lot of people are complaining about it, so I don't think Nugget can take the blame for this one. She will be taking full credit for the insane back pain, the lack of energy and the fact that I get winded going up a flight of stairs.

Labor signs?
Nope! But, in the words of my doctor last week "Is it just me, or has this baby dropped?" Homegirl is definitely riding low these days.

Gender?
BABY GIRL.

Belly Button In or Out?
Super wide and shallow innie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
Still wearing all the rings all the time! 10 weeks to go!

Sleep?
Still taking me a while to get comfy, and still getting up once or twice to use the bathroom, but according to Jason...once I'm asleep, there's no waking me.

What I'm looking forward to?
Leaving for Arkansas TOMORROW to see my cousin (who I haven't seen in SIX years) get married! I wish Jason could be with me, but I am so excited to spend some time with my family who I don't get to see nearly enough!

Cheers to a happy (and safe!) Labor Day weekend!

My Belly {29 weeks}

This week has been really stressful and overwhelming (even moreso thanks to glorious hormones). I've had a couple of huge projects to get done at work while preparing to host a bridal shower and a bachelorette party, gearing up for 4 weddings (one of which I am in) and a trip to Arkansas...all of which are taking place within the next five weeks, I might add.
Oh, and there's that whole "getting ready for baby" thing...this week alone we toured the hospital, I had a meeting with my boss about maternity leave and I had a doctor's appointment.
I'm getting things crossed off the list and time is flying by but I definitely think I bit off more than I can chew.
Anyways, here's what me and the bump are looking like this week!

Nugget this week...
*250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in baby's bones each day!
*Her lungs & muscles are continuing to develop
*Her head is getting bigger to make room for that big ol' brain of hers

Size of the baby?
somewhere around 2 1/2 pounds and 15 inches!

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
22 frickin pounds. bah.

Maternity Clothes?
I am still swearing off maternity clothes! But with fall coming I may have to break down and get some damn pants.

Stretch marks?
Nope!!!

Best Moments?
Visiting our friends Erik & Andrea who just welcomed their baby boy, Vincent, on July 13th. It was so amazing to talk to a couple who JUST went through labor and really get a first hand account and words of wisdom for labor and the first few weeks with baby. PLUS, snuggling with a 5 week old baby made me SO excited to get my hands on my little nugget!

Movement?
Oh yeah, still squirming in there...Nugget isn't quite as active but when she moves SHE MOVES!
She is booty droppin' like a pro in there!

Food Cravings?
sweeeeeeeets. candy. ice cream. donuts. apple crisp.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
I may never be able to eat chicken again...and most other meat isn't appealing but just chicken makes me want to spew.

What I miss?
Sleeping through the night without multiple potty breaks.

Nausea/Vomiting?
I puked at the hospital before our tour...but that was thanks to nerves and anxiety, not baby.

Symptoms?
Still an angry back, but I've found some stretches that give me some temporary relief, so that's been great.

Labor signs?
I think I had my first Braxton Hicks contraction. I was at work and out of the blue I got a cramp that felt like I was getting my period...then after about a minute or so it was gone. But with all the weird crap that happens when you're pregnant...who knows!

Gender?
BABY GIRL.

Belly Button In or Out?
Still have an innie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
Still on baby!

Sleep?
I've had a busy mind this last week, so it's taken me a little while to get to sleep BUT once I am asleep...there's no waking me! Well, except for trips to the ladies room.

What I'm looking forward to?
THE STATE FAIR TOMORROW!
I am going to eat SO much and no one can stop me....don't come between a preggo and deep fried pickles!

And just for funsies, let's look back to 10 weeks ago....

My Belly {28 weeks}

Holy moly!
This week marks the official start of the THIRD TRIMESTER!
Time is flying people!
can you tell this was an absolutely last minute effort?

Nugget this week...
*Can blink her little eyes
*Might be able to see light filtering through the womb
*Is developing billions of neurons (smarty pants!)
*Is adding more fat to get ready for life on the outside.

Size of the baby?
Somewhere around 2 1/4 pounds and 14.8 inches head to heels.

Total Weight Gain/Loss?
exactly 20 pounds...which is right where I should be, but still hard to wrap my head around!

Maternity Clothes?
Pretty much just the maternity jeans, which I hardly every wear.

Stretch marks?
Still have yet to spot one!

Best Moments?
Graduating from our Preparing for Childbirth class!

Movement?
Little squirmy is still moving quite a bit...this week she's averaging 10 movements in just over 10 minutes.

Food Cravings?
No cravings at all....still not feeling much like eating.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Nothing making me sick (except meat) but nothing really sounds good.

What I miss?
I really don't miss anything right now, I'm just happy to be feeling good!

Nausea/Vomiting?
Not at all this week!

Symptoms?
Super sore back, but nothing else to complain about.

Labor signs?
Nothing yet...keep on cooking little one!

Gender?
BABY GIRL.

Belly Button In or Out?
The button is still an innie.

Wedding rings On or Off?
Rings are still on! Think I can make it 12 more weeks?

Sleep?
I am sleeping good once I get comfortable...but getting comfortable is a process! I'll have to take a picture of how I'm sleeping every night for next week....

What I'm looking forward to?
Touring the birth center at the hospital on Tuesday!
And celebrating the baby daddy's birthday this weekend! :)
