When looking for wedding dress inspiration there is only one place to start....celebrities! Celebrity weddings make people (including me) go crazy! A celebrity wedding is the mack daddy of all events and causes a media frenzy that no other event can. So, naturally, I looked at some of my favorite stars to see when they donned on their big days.
Ashlee Simpson wore Monique Lhuillier and looked stunning. I was surprised by how traditional her dress was! She did punk it up with her hair and the dark reds in her wedding colors. How sweet is this picture?
Avril Lavigne wore Vera Wang, and again I was surprised by how traditional it was. I love this dress! I think it's classic and timeless but still fun.
I love Christina Aguilera but I think she looks like a tranny most of the time and her wedding was no different. I think the train is beautiful and her body is bangin' but the overall look does not look classy to me. Thoughts? Oh, she wore Christian Lacroix.
Once again, not getting the whole "beautiful, classy bride" feel from Fergie. But, I LOVE her and Josh. She wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress which underwhelmed me. It's very simple, which I like, but it just looks like a white evening gown. And I hate the random black decals on the back.
Gwen Stefani wore a Dior wedding dress that is SO Gwen Stefani. It's not my style at all but I loved it and she looked amazing. She was classy and elegant but was still her punk Gwen self.
No words necessary. Sigh.
Katie Holmes wore a Giorgio Armani wedding dress that I am really torn about. I love the vintage glamor and I think she looks beautiful but something about it bugs me. I don't know if it's the enormous veil or the fact that this is just a strange union. What did you think when you saw Katie on her wedding day?
I LOVE, LOVE., LOVE Khloe's Vera Wang wedding dress! I LOVE the lavender belt, I love the bottom, I love how it fits her! I love how she wore her hair! I love the bridesmaid dresses! I love Lamar's gray tux! I think she looked stunning and the whole wedding came together beautifully.
Victoria Beckham wore this beautiful Vera Wang dress that I think is absolutely gorgeous. It's a little big for my taste but I LOVE the top. This just doesn't seem like Victoria though....ya know? I wonder if Victoria were to get married right now if she would pick the same dress....I think no.
Finally, is the mack daddy of all brides. The woman whose career blew up simply because she got married! Probably the most viewed wedding dress, hair and overall look.....

Jessica's Vera Wang wedding dress is without a doubt my favorite celebrity wedding dress of all time! It's incredible. It classic, timeless, beautiful, sexy, intricate, breathtaking....I could go on and on. Basically, it's everything a wedding dress should be. AND, Jessica's hair was GORGEOUS. Ugh! Amazing! Why did they have to break up? I'm still not over it.

dont worry you will find something BEAUTIFUL!! if you watch say yes to the dress, you can always tell they love their dresses because they cry!! so when you cry, that's the one! hahah :)

Jessica's dress is gorgeous.. so timeless, for sure. I also remember really loving Tori Spelling's wedding dress a while back; it had a vintage flair and really flattered her, I think!

Jessica and Jennifers wedding seamed magical. They were gorgeous. I went dress shopping once and found mine. I knew it was the one when you start crying when you look in the mirror. (:
I took a page from Jessica Simpson and wore all lace. Granted, it was nothing like her exquisite gown but it definitely inspired me.
Fergie's looks way too...um...TIGHT. That's the only word I can find.
As for Katie Holmes, I wish we could see more dress. That train just seems like it's too much!
PS -- you are going to trump all these ladies when you get married. You will be stunning. ;)
Ohhhh, fun post! I loved Jessica Simpson's bridal look too. Have so much fun looking for your dress and yes, DEFINITELY stop looking or contemplating getting another one after you've found the one!
As a mother-in-law to be, I think you could rock a Jessica Simpson style. Katie's, I think was the veil was too low on the head, and the classic look is veil slightly shorter than the dress/train. Kate Middleton's decision is similar from what they released on dresses but of all things you and your prince are a gorgeous couple!
It's sad that 4/10 of those couples are no longer together. I love Gwens dress, very dramatic. It's going to be hard for you because you have one of those "I look amazing in everything" bodies lol. I dont even know you but I know THAT! :P Dont stress out about it and watch a lot of Say Yes to the Dress. Good luck!
Fergie way to much skin for a wedding dress bleck!!! Jessica simpson is timeless and classic. she has by far the best dress, and taste when it comes to her wedding stuff!

I feel you on the whole dress situation. I had my eye on this Sottero Midgley dress for over year and when I finally tried it on, I didn't get that feeling. The high price tag probably didn't help. If you have any kind of budget for the dress, sometimes that helps with limiting the options. The first dress I tried on in my price range turned out to be "the one" and I stopped looking. I have the same fear though; "what if I didn't look enough, what if there is something better for the same price, what if there is something better for less?" Totally normal. In the end, I love my dress, and I sure as hell don't hate it. Not to mention I will rock the shit out of it at my wedding, so that's all that matters, right? Good luck in your search for "the one". And thanks for posting the pics of Jessica's hair, it's exactly what I have been looking for.

totally agree with you on the celeb brides, but you missed one bride whose dress was amazing- heidi montag. i hate the beezy, but i thought her dress was aaaaaaamazing.
